Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max review: For Real A Super phone!

79

This Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max review is honestly my personal favourite. Lots of us use iPhone products, but this iPhone 12 pro max had a big reputation when it comes out. Let’s see if it’s good or bad.

The iPhone 12 Pro Max is the largest, heaviest, and most expensive edition of Apple’s 2020 handset, a beast of all sizes. The top-of-the-range iPhone is worth £1,099 and is above 12 Pro (£999), 12 (£799), and 12 Mini (£699).

The 12 Pro Max has the same fresh look as the rest of the iPhone 12 range: squared-off edges, all-screen front with slimmer bezels, and a frosted rear window.

It has the same drop-resistant “Ceramic Shield” technology that covers the screen and the latest MagSafe magnetic mounting mechanism on the back for wireless chargers and accessories, but that’s where the functional similarities end.

While the iPhone 12 Pro Max was only just a tiny amount more significant than the 11 Pro Max last year, the bezels around the OLED display have been shrunk to allow Apple to expand the screen size to 6.7 inches – and that’s a convincing excuse to pick up the new larger iPhone.

Images are sharper and more noticeable on a more oversized frame; you can see more of a web page or photograph regularly – and it’s the finest iPhone ever to be used as a film-watching unit.

It’s one of the finest shows on the market that can quickly render both bright landscapes and more delicate tones.

Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max review: The Amazing Design

Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max review – The Design of the 12 Pro Max resembles that of the other handsets in the 2020 iPhone 12 family: there’s a new flat-sided frame that looks more industrial and is a little less convenient to carry than the last year’s iteration.

The gigantic OLED panel measures 6.7in on the diagonal, dwarfing all other iPhones and rivalling Android superphones, such as the 6.78in OnePlus 8 or the 6.9in Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.

Most of the Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max Reviews agree that the phone is gorgeous. Bright, crystal-clear, and almost tablet-like on the gigantic scale. Seeing HDR footage is fantastic, and there’s even a decent selection of stereo speakers.

It usually takes two hands to hold, just like its superphone rival. It is vast and weighs 226g – 18g heavier than Note 20 Ultra, 39g heavier than 12 Pro, or 64g heavier than the standard iPhone 12.

Thanks to the rough edges, I find the 12 Pro Max much more comfortable to grip than its rounded and similarly heavy predecessor, the iPhone 11 Pro Max. I could use one hand with a touch of finger gymnastics, and I didn’t have any of the hand discomforts I received from trying to grip the 11 Pro Max soap strip.

Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max review: Pricing

The iPhone 12 Pro Max is worth £1,099 for 128GB, £1,199 for 256GB or £1,399 for 512GB of storage.

For comparison, the 12 Pro costs £999, the 12 costs £799, the 12 Mini costs £699, and the iPhone SE costs £399. Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra is worth £1,179, and the OnePlus 8 Pro is worth £799.

Is it worth buying?

The Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max review agrees that the phone has all the same features as the iPhone 12 Pro, plus few additional sensor upgrades and a bigger battery due to its larger capacity. Reviews of the 12 Pro Max were also favorable, with reviewers highlighting a bigger 6.7-inch monitor and a longer battery life.
