Isha Nabar – Reimagining Fashion One Garment at a Time

Isha Ambani became one of India’s most-coveted heiress. But before that happened, she was just another teenage girl living her life wearing jeans and T-shirts.

At NYFW 2018, she joined Norma Kamali and Sabyasachi Mukherjee to launch their collection for Sadhguru’s Isha Foundation called Fashion for Peace – an intriguing fusion between fashion and spirituality.

The Art of Design

Design is an intimate art form that blends fashion and lifestyle elements for maximum visual impact. Isha Nabar has perfected this delicate process through her innovative collection Resonance which breathes new life into the fashion world through vibrant textures and rich sensory details. Her multidisciplinary skills acquired at Tanya Taylor New York, Oscar de la Renta Delhi, and House of Masaba Mumbai have resulted in an unprecedented brand that bridges bicultural heritage with cutting-edge trends.

Nabar’s multidisciplinary approach and creative vision are evident in her exquisite fashion fabrics that integrate wellness, drawing upon sound’s healing properties for healing purposes. Additionally, she has transformed traditional Rock Dhokra art into fashion accessories with historical significance and timeless beauty, making this remarkable art accessible to a global audience.

Apart from her work in fashion, she is also a watercolor artist and illustrator specializing in capturing nature through her paintings. Her inspiration often stems from traveling to lesser-known destinations where she draws upon their landscapes and cultures for her paintings – then mixing these elements with Indian elegance and luxury for added visual flair.

Fashion stylist and designer, she has worked with celebrities like Alia Bhatt, Manisha Koirala, and Raja Kumari as a fashion stylist/designer. She has styled editorials, TVC, and online campaigns for various e-commerce platforms. Additionally, she founded Ishaa Studio, which offers luxury designer accessories, clothing, and textile products and has transformed abstract art into exclusive fabric and textile designs that she designs herself.

The Art of Fabric

Fashion fabric design is a complex and multifaceted process, requiring the ability to interpret a client’s ideas and translate them into cohesive yet individual designs. Additionally, knowledge of color and texture is needed to produce something beautiful yet practical for use by clients.

Isha Nabar is known for her extraordinary textile designs. She can transform even the simplest materials into something remarkable and unexpected with this skill and imagination. Her creations blend traditional Indian influences with global trends for an extraordinary and sophisticated style.

Born into a textile business family, Isha developed an early appreciation for fabric. She regularly visited her father’s export house of home textiles as a child and saw first-hand how everything operated; these visits provided invaluable exposure to fabric art – an experience that inspired her to pursue design as a profession one day.

As founder of Ishaa Studio, Isha has amassed an extensive library of more than 500 designs she exclusively created herself. These prints represent original artworks, designs, and creative ideas in line with current domestic and international trends and color forecasts.

The Art of Styling

Isha Nabar advocates clothing as an experience; her latest collection Resonance stands as a testament to this newfound belief and promises to reimagine fashion garment by garment.

Alia Bhatt, Manisha Koirala, and Raja Kumari have all been styled by her. Additionally, she consults various designers translating their vision into visual imagery; besides, she styles web banners, online campaigns, and TVCs for major E-commerce platforms.

Isha Ambani appeared at the event wearing a draped silhouette inspired by a sari from Prabal Gurung’s atelier decorated with pearls. Her look paid homage to Karl Lagerfeld’s color palette, emphasizing simple yet powerful lines.
