5

If you don’t want YouTube to keep track of the searches that you perform, you can permanently disable your search history, or you can pause and delete it. However, it’s essential to know that the record will be saved in your account, so you’ll need to make sure you have a backup plan.

Delete your entire search history

If you are concerned about privacy, you may want to delete your entire YouTube search history. This is a quick and easy way to eliminate search entries you no longer need. However, it can make finding videos on YouTube more difficult.

First, you must have a YouTube account. If you are using the web version of the site, you can sign in with your Google ID and password. You can also use a different online account, such as Gmail or Yahoo.

Next, you’ll need to access the settings. In the upper-left corner of your window, you’ll find the menu. From there, you can select History and Privacy.

Once you are in the options, you’ll need to choose “Clear all Search History” from the list. After this, you’ll be prompted to confirm your choice.

In addition to the main navigation menu, you’ll see the O-menu at the bottom right of the screen. Click on it to get to the privacy menu.

Pause your search history

YouTube allows users to pause, clear, and re-add their search history. This helps you to save time when browsing videos. It also helps to protect your privacy. When your search history is cleared, YouTube will no longer show suggested videos in your search results.

Using the pause function in the YouTube app, you can disable the recording of your search history and stop any new searches being recorded. You can do this either on iOS or Android.

The pause function is similar to the watch history option. However, to pausing your search history, you must go to the app’s settings page. Once there, you will need to choose the History & Privacy option.

The main thing to remember is that your search history will be paused for the foreseeable future. However, the video you play while your search history is broken will not be saved. If you have any questions or want to check your search history, you can open the app again.

Permanently disable your search history.

If you want to disable your YouTube search history permanently, it’s easy to do. To clear your record, you’ll need to log into your account.

Google tracks all of your activity on the site, including your searches. That data is used to personalize your experience, including personalized ads. As such, you need to be vigilant about your privacy settings.

You can disable your search history on the YouTube website or the YouTube app. But how do you do it?

To delete your search history, go to the History page. In the top left corner of the screen, you’ll see a panel with a list of options. Select “Auto-delete” to turn it off.

Next, you’ll want to go to the Privacy section. From there, you’ll see an O-menu button at the bottom right. Tap it. A pop-up will open. The first option is “Clear browsing history.”

When you select that, a new tab will be opened. You’ll then be able to browse through your browser’s history.

View your watch history

You can check your YouTube search history if you want to find a video you have watched. This feature is available on both the desktop and mobile versions of the app.

To start checking your YouTube search history, ensure you are signed into your YouTube account. Next, navigate to your YouTube app’s home screen. From here, click the settings icon. You should see a History & privacy menu. Select it.

On the right side of the page, you will see three vertical dots. Tap on one of them to open the history page. At the top are buttons to Pause, Clear and Disable watch history.

If you choose Pause, you will no longer have access to the search history on YouTube. However, you can still delete your search history by selecting the Clear button.

After deleting your history, you will not be able to reaccess it. Therefore, it is recommended that you clear your browser history before clearing your YouTube history.
