A Closer Look at the Chrisley Family

7

The Chrisley family has not been spared drama. As reality TV stars, they have been embroiled in legal matters over time, accused of lying, cheating, sextortion, tax evasion, and bank fraud.

The Chrisley family is depicted on this show as one that frequently defies authority figures and voices their opinions without restraint.

Todd Chrisley

Real estate tycoon Todd Chrisley became widely known for displaying his lavish lifestyle through USA Network reality show Chrisley Knows Best. Initially specializing in property development, Todd now lives with wife Julie and children in a 30,000 square-foot mansion near Atlanta.

His fame brought with it controversy. In 2022, he and his wife were charged with bank fraud and tax evasion. They began serving their prison sentences – currently 19 years worth in separate facilities in Florida and Kentucky – Shortly after that, their children complained of conditions at both facilities where their parents are being housed – complaining to podcast listeners that Kentucky prison had no air conditioning. In contrast, Julie’s had potential mold and poisonous snakes, among other concerns.

Prisons have taken their toll on this celebrity. On Savannah Chrisley’s Unlocked, they admitted they feel depressed and isolated behind bars; not receiving visits from his wife has also taken its toll on his children.

He’s been in prison for nearly two years and still can’t adjust well to life behind bars, having nightmares and dealing with depression and anxiety.

He’s still appealing his convictions and hopes to be accessible as soon as possible, but the most critical aspect is being there for his family. Although he’s trying his hardest, he feels he’s falling behind – needing assistance from family and friends as soon as he steps up his game to meet their expectations.

Julie Chrisley

Julie Chrisley became famous with the Chrisley Knows Best reality show launch in 2014. This series followed Julie and Todd and their family, consisting of daughters Lindsie, Kyle, Chase, Savannah, and Grayson, as she shared personal and professional struggles with viewers, such as breast cancer diagnosis and divorce proceedings, legal trouble, and prison sentences with viewers.

She and Todd, her husband, were convicted of bank, mail, wire, and conspiratorial IRS defrauding in 2011. Both series, Chrisley Knows Best and its spinoff, Growing Up Chrisley, were suspended following their sentencing. In a podcast episode released shortly after, they said it had been a “heartbreaking time for us and our children”.

As a result of their convictions, the family was placed under house arrest. During this period, they are prohibited from leaving their home without permission. They must notify their probation officer whenever spending exceeds $1,000 and inform him/her whenever attending church services or seeking medical care.

Despite these trials, the Chrisley family remains resilient and optimistic. They are working tirelessly to appeal their sentences, receiving much-appreciated support from fans. While legal issues have affected their careers, they continue focusing on their families while inspiring many others. Their story serves as a reminder that no one is exempt from legal problems; bankruptcy, tax evasion, or DUIs can have lasting implications that affect everything in our lives – although there may be ways to mitigate or avoid these events from occurring in the future.

Chase Chrisley

Chase Chrisley is a reality television star known for appearing on “Chrisley Knows Best.” He is the son of Todd and Julie Chrisley and also has two half-siblings from their father’s previous marriage. Chase enjoys an ambitious lifestyle but sometimes gets in trouble; despite all his money and fame, he struggles with maintaining his mental health. Therefore, he seeks treatment, hoping that finding peace may be possible again.

In Chrisley Knows Best’s most recent episode, Chase and his family move into a smaller 12,000-square home. While most members of his family seem pleased about this change, Savannah remains concerned. She plans to compete in the Miss High School America pageant under coach Danica’s strict tutelage, yet she does not appreciate Chase helping with that process.

As Julie and her husband prepare to celebrate their wedding anniversary, Julie also receives her annual breast exam to prove she is in remission from cancer diagnosis. Meanwhile, Chase has an outing with Lia, who keeps sending him text messages, distracting him from enjoying his date with Savannah; to teach Chase a lesson, Todd enlists Savannah to pose as Lia and write notes that he must read on future dates as Lia – thus providing Todd with an opportunity to recruit Savannah into acting like Lia to write letters he must read on future dates if necessary!

Chase also runs a successful real estate business. He owns Chrisley Real Estate in Nashville, which features on social media as “Luxury Nashville Real Estate.” Despite appearing inactive, this account contains links to Chrisley Real Estate’s website and YouTube video footage featuring Chase and his team at work.

Savannah Chrisley

Savannah Chrisley, a reality TV star and fashion influencer with a vast following on social media, has earned herself a tremendous fan base. She’s known to share intimate details about herself with her fans – such as struggles like endometriosis. Recently, she shared this information via her post regarding this condition where tissue that lines the uterus grows outside it instead.

Savannah Chrisley, daughter of Todd and Julie Chrisley, gained notoriety through the USA Network series Chrisley Knows Best and its spinoff Growing Up Chrisley. Since 2022, she has launched her podcast, Unlocked With Savannah Chrisley which she uses as an avenue to share her experiences and struggles.

In a recent episode, the reality star discussed her parents’ sentencing for fraud and tax evasion convictions, noting how well her siblings were holding up while lamenting the loss of both parents. Additionally, she opened up about her past suicidal attempt and thanked her father for intervening and saving her life.

She has also discussed her journey through depression, revealing that she suffers from high-functioning depression and an eating disorder. Furthermore, she is going through a painful divorce with Nic Kerdiles of professional ice hockey player fame, during which custody battles for Grayson, Chase, and Chloe will likely ensue.

Despite her many trials, Savannah remains upbeat on social media, always encouraging her followers to stay strong. Recently, she posted a message encouraging them to remain resilient after being kicked off a Southwest flight for “unruly behavior.” Luckily, she was allowed back after speaking with one of their employees.

Grayson Chrisley

Grayson Chrisley maintains an active social media presence and enjoys baseball. He shares an excellent bond with his sister, Savannah, and they often spend time together. Grayson attends high school but plans to enroll in college later in life. Grayson values family ties and appreciates life’s simple pleasures.

Grayson and Chase are learning some fundamental life skills with help from their family. Todd and Julie take them to a laundromat where they can learn how to wash and dry their clothes; additionally, they try to help Grayson become more independent by teaching him how to change a tire. Finally, Todd and Julie tire of sleeping beside him every night, so they redecorate his room in baseball colors with new decor – much to Grayson’s delight!

While researching his school project, Grayson discovers that Faye is part Cherokee Indian through her great-great-grandmother. When he informs her of this fact, she becomes angry at being labeled a cheater; however, Faye forgives Grayson after an apology is extended and accepted by both parties involved.

Savannah continues her clothing line while trying to sell some of it at a craft fair and taking her pageant outfit in for repairs. Chase and Savannah become jealous of Savannah’s success but decide to help out and offer assistance instead of competing.

On Father’s Day, Todd took his family to a trampoline park. Although initially uncertain, everyone ended up having great fun! Todd then received a professional family portrait. All his children appeared happy to see him again except Kyle, who has become involved with drugs again – Todd hopes he can turn things around quickly while worrying about both parents’ prison sentences.
