The Audi S7 – A Four-Door Coupé With a Twist

14

The audi s7 is a sleek four-door coupe that combines luxury with effortless power. Its 2.9 liter twin-turbo V6 engine offers ample power while delivering impressive fuel efficiency.

Its 0-62mph time of 4.7 seconds puts it just 0.2sec behind the BMW 650i GranCoupe and 0.5sec behind the Mercedes-Benz CLS 500. The audi s7 also has a slew of safety features to help you stay safe on the road.

Power

The audi s7 is a great car to own if you want a four-door that hints at grandeur while still being refined. It can also be a fantastic alternative to a large sedan if you wish for superior practicality and family-lugging capacity.

It’s powered by a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V-6 with 48-volt mild hybrid electrical assistance producing 444 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque. That’s sent to all four wheels via a new eight-speed automatic transmission and Quattro AWD.

Its acceleration is smooth and rapid, from 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds. It’s not as fast as the RS5’s 3.6-second 0-60, but it’s no slouch.

Performance

In a market where sedans are becoming increasingly rare, large luxury vehicles offer space, comfort, and performance in a premium package. It’s a formula that Audi has been perfecting for decades.

A few years ago, the S7 was fitted with a powerful 450-hp V8. But that was axed, replaced by a clever diesel mild-hybrid system.

The new system boosts the engine’s power and torque by 37 pound-feet, so it can handle more top-end power without running out of steam. It also makes the S7 0.2 seconds faster from zero to 62 mph than before.

Inside, the S7 offers all the features you’d expect in a performance-oriented sedan, including natural wood trim, quilted leather seats with contrast stitching, heated front seats and steering wheel, shift paddles, four-zone automatic climate control, a panoramic sunroof, and more. Plus, it has a fastback shape that’s a boon for cargo volume. You’ll find 25 cubic feet under the hatch, double that of the CLS53 and 11 cubes more than the S6 sedan can boast.

Comfort

For a brand renowned for its high standards of quality and technology, it’s no surprise that the interior of an Audi S7 is luxurious. Soft hides, top-shelf materials, and extensive tech add to the modern ambiance.

The S7’s front seats are trimmed in Valcona leather, with electric adjustment for lumbar support and a memory setting for the driver. The rear seats are also heated and feature a massage function.

The S7’s ride is a little firm, but the Comfort mode reduces this. It wafts along motorways with considerable style and is quieter at higher speeds than its CLS rival.

Technology

The Audi S7 brings aesthetic beauty, rousing performance, and everyday practicality together in one vehicle. It also features cutting-edge technology that combines safety, sportiness, and technical advancement.

The S7 is powered by a 2.9-liter turbocharged V-6 engine paired with a 48-volt mild hybrid system that makes up to 444 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque. This helps the S7 maintain exceptional traction on any surface.

Inside, the Audi Virtual Cockpit shows configurable digital gauges across a 12.3-inch screen and can convert to a large Google map for navigation. It also comes with a head-up display that projects important information in your line of sight on the windshield.

The A7 also has advanced lighting technology that emphasizes its dynamic visuals. The narrow headlights extend from the Singleframe grille and feature 12 adjacent lighting segments separated by thin spaces.

Safety

The audio s7 features advanced safety technology that helps keep you safe on the road. Its list of standard features includes front and rear airbags, a forward collision warning system, automatic emergency braking, and blind-spot monitoring.

Audi pre-sense primary uses sensors to identify critical driving situations like skidding or harsh braking and helps you avoid them. It activates hazard warning lights, closes the windows and sunroof, and partly or wholly tightens the seat belts to reduce the risk of injury.

Another impressive feature is the Audi pre-sense side, which applies the same preventative measures as the basic version in case of a collision. It also raises the vehicle’s side by up to 3.1 inches to direct the force of impact away from the most vulnerable part of your car.
