How to Use Instagram to Your Advantage
There are no hard and fast guidelines to ensure your Instagram posts are compelling. There are only a few rules to follow, and Neil Patel, author, and internet entrepreneur, nailed a couple of them in an article. Tips on how get instagram followers?
But if you don’t have time to go through each, I’ll cut it short and flip the importance based on what is crucial to an Instagram post without wasting time.
Invest in a Good Film
Only some of your postings need to be postcard-worthy; you only need a few high-quality images highlighting the finest of your merchandise. For example, I once followed a meal delivery service on Twitter that delivered the most excellent food but had the worst-lit Instagram photos. It was a waste of potential, and I requested that they alter their images with filters before posting them. They did, and their photographs have been tantalizing ever since!
Make It Personal
Give your Instagram account a personality people can relate to, or publish a behind-the-scenes photo. There’s a reason why people look for BTS YouTube videos before watching a movie or TV show. Humans are naturally curious. They’ll be halfway hooked once they can relate to you.
Be funny, quirky, in the know, cool, or any combination.
If you can’t be funny, be eccentric. If you can’t be abnormal, at least be informed. Be cool if you can’t be in the know. Choose one. People will remember you if you peek over the corner in this manner. They see you out of the corner of their eye, recognize you, and become enthralled all over again. That’s what branding is all about.
Find an Influencer
When I was born, when you called someone an influencer, your parents probably assumed they were drug pushers. However, it refers to someone with a significant social media following in the digital era. Great if you can afford to pay one of those YouTubers or Instagrammers to promote your product or service. If you can’t, find someone cheap to collaborate with, preferably in the same industry but not your competition. Did I need to say that? There is an internet list that indicates the ones with an international platform. If you’re going local, feel free to bargain.
Utilize Instagram Ads
GO FOR IT as long as you stick to your budget and produce a visually appealing short video. In any case, you shouldn’t be spending thousands of dollars on advertisements. After you’ve divided the costs among Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Google, you might get a fair ROI. At the end of the day, what you want to appreciate is eyeballs.
Run Contests and Encourage Positive Participation
Even the greatest of us will be surprised by helpful or straightforward posts. Some people will go to great lengths to win a notebook, a pair of theme park tickets, a bottle of hand lotion, a vacation, flight tickets, or a grand piano. Many people will be fine if it is free. And, unlike Facebook, Instagram has fewer regulations to follow… for the time being.
Utilize Hashtags
I can’t emphasize enough how certain people misuse hashtags. You don’t upload a photo of your baby with the caption #AngieandBobsBabyIsSoCute. 1) No one else is using that hashtag. Therefore, it’s a complete waste of time (and space); 2) You want to use a hashtag others can search for and are already using, and 3) Find and like similar posts for inspiration and visibility. You can also create your unique hashtag and advertise it everywhere. I mean, around, so your friends, family, and followers may also utilize it. That is the function of a hashtag.
Have fun and good luck!
