Cool Places to Drive Near Navi Mumbai

Navi Mumbai has several excellent driving destinations that visitors can enjoy. These are great for those who want a short getaway from the city. One of the most popular driving destinations near Mumbai is Matheran, which is 800 meters above sea level. It’s known for its spectacular 360-degree views of the Sahyadri Ranges and is also a popular spot for hiking and trekking.

There’s Wonders Park in Nerul for day trips, and you can play golf nearby in Kharghar. If you’re into eating, you can stop by Ahmed Bhai for some Indian food. You can also take a weekend trek in R.U.D.E Belapur or spend some time at Mini Sea Shore in Vashi.

Juinagar

There are plenty of cool places to drive near Navi Mumbai, and they aren’t all far from the city center. If you’re planning a day trip from Navi Mumbai, consider heading up to Kharghar, a beautiful hill station located about five kilometers from the city center. It is home to an ecologically sensitive reserve and a beautiful waterfall. The view is breathtaking, and you’ll be able to participate in activities such as trekking, rock climbing, and waterfall rappelling.

The road from Navi Mumbai to Indore is 360 miles (580 km) long and should take seven hours and nine minutes with regular traffic. Along the way, you can stop at places like Nashik, Rambaug Point, and Virar West.

Karjat

If you’re looking for a fun, scenic drive near Navi Mumbai, Karjat may be your place. This little hill station is surrounded by waterfalls, some of which overflow onto the highway. Karjat is also a popular pilgrimage site, where you can see the God Bahiri’s shrine.

While in the area, make a stop at Malshej Ghat, a picturesque mountain pass in the Western Ghats. Here, you can enjoy the beauty of nature, caves, and history. Of course, activities to keep you busy, from bungee jumping to trekking through the lush greenery.

Belapur Fort

Belapur Fort is a fort located near the township of Belapur in Maharashtra, India. It was initially built by the Siddis of Janjira and later captured by the Marathas and Portuguese. It was then taken over by the British in the early 19th century.

You can also visit the Titwala Ganesh Mandir, a popular tourist spot in Navi Mumbai. The temple is a popular pilgrimage site that attracts tourists and local devotees. It takes a good hour to drive from the fort to the temple. You can stop at Wonder Park while traveling with your family. It has rides and replicas of famous monuments. You will have to pay for the rides.

Patalganga River

There are several scenic drives and scenic vistas near Navi Mumbai. One of the most popular is the Raintree Marg, which is about 13 km long and has beautiful tree-lined roads. This drive is lovely at night when you can enjoy the peaceful ambiance and cool climate.

The Patalganga River flows through Khopoli, one of India’s most heavily polluted rivers. The river is fed by a tailrace from the nearby Tata Hydro Power Station. After it flows through Khopoli, it empties into the Arabian Sea at Dharamtar creek. The river is a significant source of industrial raw water and drinking water for surrounding villages.

Elephanta Caves

The Elephanta Caves are a series of cave temples dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva. They are located on Elephanta island, 10 kilometers east of Mumbai. The island lies within Mumbai Harbour. The island is located in the Indian state of Maharastra.

Youcan takes a takes or express train from Mumbai’s Gateway of India station. To reach the caves You ca,n also reach Elephanta by bus. The taxis are easy to find and cost about Rs. 150 each.
